Day 01: Arrive Leh. Morning flight to Leh. Reception and assistance on arrival. Transfer to hotel. Day to acclimitise to the high altitudes. Overnight Leh.
Day 2: Breakfast. Drive to Alchi, enroute visit Basgo Palace and Liker Monastery.The present gompa in Liker dates back to the 18th century. It contains huge clay images of Buddha and various old manuscripts. It also houses an interesting collection of thankas, old religious and domestic costumes and implements etc. Arrive Alchi by the afternoon. Visit the monastery at Alchi, spend the afternoon exploring the village. Overnight Camp.
Day 3: Breakfast. Return to Leh , visit the monastery at Lamayuru enroute. Lamayuru has fascinating caves carved out of the mountainside. Also known as Yung Drung (Swastika) it is sited on a high promonotory overlooking the village and valley. For sheer spectacle value no other gompa can match Lamayuru .Overnight Leh.
Day 4: Breakfast. Drive to Tsomoriri Lake via Push, Chumathang. Take a walk around the lake and enjoy the scenic beauty. Overnight Camp.
Day 5: Breakfast. After a leisurely breakfast walk around the lake drive back to Leh. Overnight Leh.
Day 6: Drive to Khardungla pass, the highest mountain pass in the world. Enjoy spectacular views of the Himalyas. Return by the afternoon. Afternoon free to explore the local markets on your own. Overnight Leh.
Day 7: Depart.
